Paws 'n Claws offers a variety of training classes designed to help your dog understand and communicate with other dogs and people. The training courses that we offer include:
Often, we schedule our training classes around the needs of our customers. If the class you are interested in is not being offered at this time (or has already begun), please give us a call or send us an email to let us know that you are interested in that specific class and we will work at scheduling a new one.
All classes require the following:
- Clicker (included with first class)
- Buckle collar
- 6-foot leash
- Plenty of delicious, soft treats
- Tug toy
- Patience and a sense of humor
Additional items may be needed and will be specified on the first day of class. All of the courses at Paws 'n Claws meet once a week and last one hour long. Pre-registration and non-refundable $50 deposit is required to hold your spot, no refunds after the first night of class.
Our Trainer
Julie Iddings, ABCDT is a lifelong resident of Erie, Pennsylvania. She received her certification in dog training from the Animal Behavior College of Northridge, California in October of 2008. Julie also became an Animal Behavior College Mentor in 2010 where she would instruct future ABC graduates on the techniques of obedience training and canine behavior while teaching her own classes. In 2012, she became a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator wherein she worked with Therapy Dogs United to evaluate future therapy dogs used to comfort children, the disabled and the elderly.
